A Few words about My semester of Photography and how it effected me, along with what I've learned from Photography.

I started Photography in Mid August, at first I was a little unsure about how much I'd enjoy Photography. My sister is 21 years old and is majoring in Photography, she really enjoys taking pictures, and as a kid, she would always come to me and my brother always asking us to pose a certain way or use certain props for her photography projects. I really hated when she would boss me around or yell at me if I didn't stay perfectly still. After all the years of being her photography project, I didn't seem as excited as I originally had hoped. On the first day, I came in with an open mind! As we started to learn how to use the cameras and how to focus and take pictures with our new cameras, that's when I started to get very confused. It was a struggle at first with trying to get the right angles with the correct focus. If I'm being honest, at the start of photography I didn't necessarily enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I found it very complex with so many steps to have to keep remembering. Soon after we took our first practice photos we were on our own and had our first photography assignment due Monday. The goal was to have around 16-24 photos by Monday so we could start the developing process. I came in on Monday and the developing process wasn't the worst thing but it definitely took a few tries. After practicing a bunch over the past few months, I became more familiar with the process, I began to enjoy photography more! I really enjoyed using new systems and techniques to create more creative photos that I enjoyed taking. I tempered with trying new things such as toned photos, colored photos, solarization prints, and many other themed prints! Overall, I really enjoyed photography. I really liked learning new techniques and growing my knowledge of the material I had learned! I had great people who helped me in the class and helped me grow as a student.
